Zombie Tramp comes back on the scene, this time we find a team of intrepid explorers breaking into a spooky old house where they find a young girl in the basement. The explorers find this really creepy little girl in the basement, and while it looks like she is chained to the floor, later on in the next couple of pages the chains disappear. The child warns the explorers that they need to leave now before something bad happens to them, like get killed. People just don’t listen to kids enough; because of course our explorers do not heed the warning when Zombie Tramp shows up. This is quickly followed by the rapid murders of the two guy explorers and the zombification of the girl explorer. The interesting part is that the child knows Xula, the demon witch that put the original curse on zombie tramp. The child shows her powers by putting a spell on Zombie Tramp that makes her look normal again but the price on that magic is that Zombie Tramp must help the child kill her parents.
We then shift scenes to a girl, a guy, and another guy who is jealous and then kills off the girl and the guy because he thinks she is cheating on him. The girl’s spirit, who I think in this book is really Xula then spins off after the murders wondering what body to inhabit next. Thus ends the first book of this very cool mature reader’s comic book series. We previously covered Zombie Tramp a while ago; this was part of the back log of comics that I really should have read, and wish that I had read this one earlier. This is a black and white and red interior with a good amount of interesting art at the back of the comic book. The story line is actually fairly cool, and well we love zombie hookers.
Dan Mendoza has a very awesome story line here, and yes it is worth the chuckle and the grin when you are reading the comic book. I am going to rate this five of five stars because it is an awesome story line, the drawing is stark black and white which works, and the red color is very graphic. It makes a nice contrast to the otherwise stark interior. It is a highly enjoyable read, and now I need to go hunt down the other copies of this comic book because I want to read the rest of the story line. This involves taking zombie tramp on a train to New Mexico to kill the kid’s parents. A zombie on a train sounds like the making of an awesome horror movie.
